Nicolas had a hard time going to school this morning. After a week off, he went back yesterday without much incident, but decided today that it would be much more fun to stay at home and play. He played sick early this morning, and when he realized that wasn't working, he decided to cry. He cried all morning, so to get him out the door I asked him to help me choose my jewelry for the day, to make me "look like a princess". He got very excited when I put them on. He got upset again in the car on the way to school, but when I saw him after school he was so happy to see the "jewels" that he felt better. They didn't really match very well, but I left them on all day to remember him.
